Massachusetts child support and alimony payments must be paid

Orders for payments such as child support or alimony are common in divorce cases in Massachusetts. In addition, child support and alimony payments are mandatory once ordered by the court. If a person in our state fails to make the monthly payments as required, they may find that they face penalties such as fines and jail time.

Massachusetts divorce often includes many decisions

Running a business together can be a financial benefit for some couples in Massachusetts. This is because of the doubled efforts that some couples put into a family-owned business to make it a success. However, when the same couple decides to end their marriage in divorce, whether or not to continue business operations together can be one of the negotiations in the ending of a marriage.

This came after the man had been convicted of felony child support failure to pay and other charges.

Massachusetts disabled parents fight for child custody

The issue of child custody comes up in many divorce cases in Massachusetts. When it does, parents seek to create a child custody agreement that acts in the best interests of their children. As many in our state know, making that decision can be hard for couples that find it difficult to agree on what is best.
