Attain guardianship of the special needs child in your life

When it comes to seeking guardianship of a child, there is no exception to the particularway the process should be handled and approached. Special needs children have just that, extenuating circumstances surrounding their lives that need to be handled in a certain way. While all children need a high level of care and attention, special needs children require a little extra.

How co-parenting can affect a child custody arrangement

When thinking about proceeding with a Massachusetts divorce, the number one question parents usually have is about their children. They want to make sure the divorce doesn't negatively impact their children, and rightly so. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of parents in MA co-parenting their children from separate households. While this child custody arrangement and parenting style is usually a success, there can be some gray-area associated with co-parenting that can leave a parent with a few questions.

Penalties can be imposed on parents with unpaid child support

Child support is a touchy topic for many Massachusetts parents. Sometimes, after the divorce decree has been issued with the topic of child support determined, it can take a lot more than the divorce decree to get applicable parents to pay their share. Sometimes this is due to a parent's change in circumstances or an emergency situation that is a temporary set-back in their child support payments. However, some parents are consistently late with their child support payments to the point where the receiving parent must take action.

Where can military members and their family file for divorce?

It is a heroic thing to do, to serve our nation by defending our nation. Military members in Massachusetts and around the world protect our borders and defend the nation and our allies. This guarantees countless other families safety and prosperity. While no-one is arguing with the heroic acts of military members, sometimes military marriages to not work out due to the stresses of the job.
